Collect is one of the 3 parts of a productivity system called COD which stands for Collect, (O)rganise and (D)o.
The main idea of collect is that whatever comes your way and requires your attention, you have to collect in a trusted place that you know will be there and you know you will do something with it sooner or later. While collecting, you shouldn’t be deciding straight away, where it should live, you do this as part of orgnaise. Usually, you will collect that information in your todo app’s inbox or a daily note. However, you have to make sure that you clear your inbox every day or two, otherwise it will become cluttered, and you will stop trusting that system.
