Ingredients

  • 1 packet of cake mix (e.g., vanilla white cake)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 1 cup of Omani coffee (or substitute with instant coffee + 1 tsp cardamom powder)
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Pistachio powder
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven as per the instructions on the cake mix box.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and oil, following the instructions on the box.
  3. Prepare Omani coffee (make it slightly more concentrated than usual) and add 1 cup to the batter. Mix thoroughly.
    Tip: If you don’t have Omani coffee, substitute with instant coffee and 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder for a similar flavor profile.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased or lined baking pan and bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  5. Once baked, level the cake by trimming the top if necessary.
  6. In a small bowl, mix condensed milk with a small amount of coffee until reduced to a thicker consistency. Spread this mixture over the leveled cake.
  7. Sprinkle pistachio powder over the top for flavor and garnish.
  8. Optionally, decorate with edible flowers for a beautiful finish.
  9. Serve the cake with a drizzle of the coffee-infused condensed milk and enjoy!
