- 1 packet of cake mix (e.g., vanilla white cake)
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1 cup of Omani coffee (or substitute with instant coffee + 1 tsp cardamom powder)
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Pistachio powder
- Edible flowers (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven as per the instructions on the cake mix box.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, and oil, following the instructions on the box.
- Prepare Omani coffee (make it slightly more concentrated than usual) and add 1 cup to the batter. Mix thoroughly.
Tip: If you don’t have Omani coffee, substitute with instant coffee and 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder for a similar flavor profile. - Pour the batter into a greased or lined baking pan and bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
- Once baked, level the cake by trimming the top if necessary.
- In a small bowl, mix condensed milk with a small amount of coffee until reduced to a thicker consistency. Spread this mixture over the leveled cake.
- Sprinkle pistachio powder over the top for flavor and garnish.
- Optionally, decorate with edible flowers for a beautiful finish.
