It is one of the three subdomains of Business Domain. Generic domain is a business activity that every business performs the same way but also they are complex and hard to implement. They may seem to be similar to Core Subdomain, but the difference is that it doesn’t provide the business with competitive advantage. An example of a generic subdomain could be authorisation or authentication.
Implementation
Most of the time, generic subdomain will be bought or adopted as there’s no reason to spend time and money and waste resources on things that already exist and are industry standards.
